From painful and difficult experiences can come great strength and potential; we can either wallow in our trials or use them to build a life of significance. If you’re feeling stuck in your negative experiences, it’s time to reflect — what did you learn from this experience? What did it teach you about yourself — about what you want and don’t want? Once you are ready to shift from obstacle to opportunity, you can dive into how you are designed, discover your life’s purpose and vision, and bring your vision to reality. Continue reading to see how you scored on these dimensions, and which areas to focus your energy on first.
Your score is comprised of three areas, each building on the one preceding it, and each representing part of the refining cycle:
1. Discover how you are designed.
2. Cast a vision in line with your purpose.
3. Make your vision a reality.
It is possible to have a low score in multiple areas. If this is the case, our recommendation is that you start in the first area you received a low score in so you can develop a solid foundation to build upon.
You are a dreamer and a doer, but may not be on the path of your true purpose, your calling, or what is in alignment with who you really are and what you were born to do. You may have other people, friends, and family, who impact your direction. You may feel unfulfilled in the work you produce or that your path might be driven by what others want you to do.
The first step to living a life of significance is to understand your Design. Once you understand how you are wired, you will be able to build from it, to cast a vision in line with who you are and bring it to reality to lead a life of significance. You can start with a personality test to see, at a high level, how you are wired. You can experiment with a few different avenues that speak to you to see what you feel best doing and what comes most naturally.
Ask family and friends about what they feel you are best at. Reflect on your successes and setbacks. Once you have a clearer understanding of who you are and how you are designed, you can take the next step and crystallize your Vision that you want to bring to Reality, in line with who you are.
Even if you scored high in some areas, take some time to reflect on them. Ask yourself how you can improve and come even closer to fulfilling your purpose.
