Great strength and potential can come from painful and difficult experiences; we can either wallow in our trials or use them to build a life of significance. Dive into how you are designed, identify your life’s purpose and vision, and bring your vision to reality — it’s all within reach for you. Continue reading to see how you measure on these dimensions and which areas to focus your energy on first.
Your score is comprised of three areas, each building on the one preceding it, and each representing part of the refining cycle:
1. Discover how you are designed.
2. Cast a vision in line with your purpose.
3. Make your vision a reality.
It is possible to have a low score in multiple areas. If this is the case, our recommendation is that you start in the first area you received a low score in so you can develop a solid foundation to build upon.
You have a clear knowledge of who you are and how you are wired — and have no problem getting hard work done bringing your dreams to reality. However, you may not have a clear understanding of what your purpose or vision for your life truly is. You may feel unfulfilled or sense that you were made for a higher purpose than the one you are currently living.
It is time to take the next step and identify your life’s purpose — as well as the vision that fully aligns with that purpose. What are your beliefs and values? What lights you up, what are you passionate about? What do you lay awake at night dreaming about? If you don’t have immediate answers to these questions, you can conduct self-experiments and try a few different avenues to see what speaks to you. What do you feel that you are best at? What comes most naturally?
Ask family and friends about what they might feel you are best at. Do a deep dive into your crucible experience, and try to understand how you can be of service to others through it. What was the nature of it? How might it help you to help others? Ask yourself how you find yourself helping people most. What advice do your friends and family usually seek your counsel for?
Even if you scored high in some areas, take some time to reflect on them. Ask yourself how you can improve and come even closer to fulfilling your purpose.
Here are some resources to help you delve deeper into your results and move toward a life of significance.
